Voitzwinkler’s culinary background began as a child where the influence of his mother and grandmother fueled his passion to invest a future in the culinary arts. As a teenager he attended Ecole Hoteliere de Guebwiller cooking school in France while he was an apprentice at Au Bon Coin restaurant. At age 20, Voitzwinkler moved to England to work at Le Meridien, London. He moved to the United States a few years later when he was offered a position at Le Meridian, Coronado. During this time, he also consulted at the Le Bel Age Hotel in Beverly Hills, where he cooked for such stars as Sylvester Stallone and the future Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger. Four years later, Voitzwinkler began his tenure at Sally's restaurant in San Diego. He continued as executive chef at Sally's for the following two years. Voitzwinkler joined Bertrand at Mister A's in January of 2004.
